5 Reggae Artists like Bob Marley Who Shaped Reggae

Reggae music originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. It has since become so popular that it is loved by people from all over the world. Bob Marley is probably the most known artist as it relates to this musical genre. However, there are many Reggae artists who contributed to this genre and in this article, we'd like to tell you about 5 we rate.  Painting of Peter Tosh done by KavionArt 1.  Peter tosh born Winston McIntosh Oct. 19 1944 . Tosh taught himself to play the guitar as a teen by watching others play. Tosh would meet 2 other aspiring musicians Bob Marley, & Bunny Wailer in the  early 1960s in Trench Town & Under the tutelage of Joe Higgs the 3 developed their love for music & formed a band call the wailing wailers. In 1964 the wailers had their 1st success as group with the ska song called Simmer Down. The wailers would go on to record some of the 1st know reggae songs. The wailers signed a record contract with Chris Blackwell & Island records

The National Gallery of Jamaica: A Must See When Visiting Kingston or Montego Bay

T he National Gallery of Jamaica was established in 1974 & currently has two branches. One in downtown, Kingston & the other in Montego Bay, St. James. It is said to be the oldest & largest public art museum in the Anglophone Caribbean. Its first collection contained 237 paintings & 25 sculptures.   Currently, they have four permanent galleries at the Kingston Branch. The rooms are decorated with love, complimented with thoughtful amenities. There's WiFi, hot water, cable TV, a desk & chair for those who need to do business. There's also a little snack with a variety of teas in each room.    Inside one of the rooms at Casa Da Buena I have to tell you about the beds. These are soooo comfortable! That's because each bed is covered with memory foam. You will not fail to have a good night sleep at this B&B. Look at how snug I am in that picture below:) Mandeville is cool so you don't need AC but there's a fan there if you need it.  The hosts are super-hosts of Airbnb. They definitely deserve that title.
